St. Eval Book of Remembrance
Through
the inspiration of Squadron Leader Jim Greenaway, the Parish of St Eval and the
nearby RAF St Mawgan commissioned Mrs. Wendy Selby to inscribe a Book of
Remembrance, permanently recording the names of those who died whilst serving at
RAF St Eval. The wording on the dedication page is:
"In this book are recorded the names of those who lost their lives
whilst serving at RAF St Eval during the Second World War."
More recently Mr. Frank Harper has uncovered the names of many who were
overlooked in the original research because of incomplete records, and Mrs.
Selby has carefully added those names to the book.
Now you can look at the list of names of those entered in the St. Eval
Book of Remembrance. Choose by
date or alphabetically.
If you live in the UK and would like to purchase a photograph of a page
from the first Book of Remembrance or the Addendum containing a specific
person's name, send the full details of the person together with your
name and address and a cheque for £10 made payable to "St.Eval PCC"
to Mr C Moncaster, Golden Burn Cottage, Porthcothan, Wadebridge, Cornwall,

by email with your enquiry.
